Nepal Chamber of Commerce Orientation Drive

Nepal Chambers of Commerce (NCC) today conducted an orientation programme for applicants under the youth and small industrialist programme, a government initiative. On the occasion, NCC president Surendra Bir Malakar expressed his willingness for cooperation with the government in the plans and policies of the programme that can generate mass employment opportunities. Malakar also urged for additional promotion of the programme throughout the nation to make people aware about it. “The programme grants loans for a fiveyear duration with 60 per cent interest discount for people making timely loan repayment,” said Rana Bahadur Shrestha, joint secretary at the Ministry of Finance. According to NCC general secretary Kishore Kumar Agrawal, till date over 30,000 people have received orientation training from NCC.
