Chaudhary Group’s Scholarships For Meritorious

Chaudhary Group (CG), the producer of Wai Wai brand noodles in Nepal, has announced five different schemes of scholarships targeting students of electoral area no. 1 of Nawalparasi district. CG has been operating the educational campaign Wai Wai Gyan Udaya scholarship under ‘Educated Nepalis: Prosper ous Nepal’ programme since quite some time.

The new scholarships are targeted at the factory area of the group.

According to CG, all five scholarships are aimed at providing marginal communities and bright students the chance to pursue higher education after their school leaving certificate (SLC) examination.

As per the CG plan, two students (a boy and a girl) who pass SLC from any public school of Nawalparasi electoral area no. 1 will get scholarship of Rs 5,000 each. Likewise, two more scholarships of Rs 5,000 will be given to bril liant students (a boy and a girl each) from Dalit, ethnic and indigenous communities for higher education.

Moreover, CG will provide four scholarships — two to brilliant girls and two to girls from marginalized communities — for schools in electoral area no. 1 of Nawalparasi.

SLC topper students, a boy and a girl, of the district will get scholarships of Rs 10,000 each. Two students in community schools within the district will get scholarships for polytechnic studies in Man Mohan Memorial Academy at Biratnagar.

The company announced the scholarships at a function organized in Chaudhary Industrial Village, Dumkauli, of Nawalparasi on Friday in the presence of District Education Officer Barkhu Prasad Rajak along with academics, industrialists and others.
