FNCCI Team Meets Finance Minister

A team led by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) president Kush Kumar Joshi met newly-appointed finance minister Surendra Pandey today and offered its suggestions for the upcoming budget.

The team advised that the new budget should promote public private partnership (PPP) and intro duce special packages for economic development.
The team urged minister Pandey to take the necessary steps to secure double digit economic growth.
The FNCCI officials also urged the minister to spend the development budget, start infrastructure projects, rehabilitate conflict victims, revive ragged industries and end the syndicate system.
Meanwhile, another FNCCI delegation led by vice-president Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar for Japan to participate in the conference of Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) that will be held from May 31 to June 1 in Yokohama.
The delegation will discuss bilateral issues with Japan Chambers of Commerce and Industries and the Yokohama chamber, read a separate statment by the federation.
