Chief secretary Madhav Prasad Ghimire distributed personal account number (PAN) cards to secretaries of the government. Budget 2009-10 has announced to distribute PAN cards to the people of Nepal. According to the Ministry of Finance (MoF), 34 secretaries got PAN cards on Wednesday. MoF is planning to expand the PAN card distribution campaign to expand the tax net. The campaign started last month by distributing PAN cards to President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and other ministers.
