Machhapuchchhre Bank Ltd has started new account Uchha Shikhaya Nikshep Yojana (Higher Education Deposit Scheme) from Sunday to se- cure the education of chil- dren. The account can be opened with a balance of Rs 16 bringing 8 per cent interest on daily deposit. The bank offers 50 per cent discount on locker, accident insurance for depositors above Rs 1,00,000 and loan up to 90 per cent of the de posit. Under the scheme, the depositor can withdraw the deposit at the age of 17 years.
