First Real estate Expo 2009 Concludes.

Public response to the first Real Estate Expo 2009 that concluded here today was overwhelming. The turnout of over 35,000 was more than that expected. Title sponsor of the event was Panchakanya Group and co-sponsors were Direction Nepal Pvt Ltd and Gharghaderi.com. The event was held from April 2 to 5 at Bhrikuti Mandap.“The event was historic in itself and more such events will develop the real estate industry in our country,” said Pradip Kumar Shrestha, managing director of Panchakanya Group. Direction Nepal’s event manager Ramesh Thapa said the expo was a huge success.“Nowadays, it is a matter of prestige to have your own house in urban areas, especially when it is designed to meet international standards,” said Rishi Pradhan of Nepal Telecom (NT).Most were agog at the urban housing concepts as the housing companies offered irresistible facilities. Star attractions of the show were the multi-storied apartments, independent housings as well as other housing materials such as solar, furniture ranges, luxury bathroomware, security door locks and others.The event covered all types of housing styles from environmental friendly to modern Grande towers, all matched to meet modern international standards. “The houses are affordable as well as highly facilitated and designed to meet the demands of the people,” said Malvika Subba, sales and marketing manager of Shangrila Housing Pvt Ltd.The throngs visiting the expo were ample proof of the public craze for luxury apartments. Representatives of of the housing companies said bookings of apartments were brisk. They added that some people have went for site tours also. However, the representatives declined to disclose the details of their deals with the customers.Public expectations of about these housing apartments and complexes are high. Will these housing companies be able to fulfill the demands of their customers at the end of the day and keep up their promise of “Always ahead”? Only time, and their own hard work, can tell.
