Nepal Scrap Union has urged scrap entrepreneurs to take membership card nationwide and get organized. The union has decided to make it compulsory for its members to take permanent account number (PAN) and certificate of value added tax (VAT) while registering at the Inland Revenue Office. The union has demanded the government provide PAN and VAT certificate to scrap entrepreneurs. Union president Pancha Tamang said they have requested the concerned offices to ban sale and purchase of scrap without the recommendation of the union.
