Nepal Bank Ltd (NBL) posted a record profit of Rs 794.4 million in the fiscal year 200809, which is 232 per cent more than previous year's Rs 239.2 million. NBL collected Rs 44.62 billion and invested Rs 19.48 billion in the period. It has also reduced its NPA from 12.38 per cent to 5.91 in the fiscal year 2008-09 by recovering bad debts equal to Rs 1.3 billion.
