Transport Entrepreneurs Run School on Their Own

Transportation entrepreneurs are running a private school by collecting donation of Rs 10 everyday from people in Itahari of Sunsari district.

The entrepreneurs have established a Workers' Children Boarding School when two children Kamala and Kamal were ousted from school after they failed to pay their school fees. The children were expellled after their father's death while he was working as a driver.
Following the incident, Nepal Transportation Drivers' Union established the school under a campaign to help the victims' family seven years ago.

Though the school faced problems in the beginning, it has been running smoothly after some other students from poor communities joined the school. The school provides the facility to study free of cost to transportation entrepreneurs' children and other children from poor communities.
