NTB-stakeholders talks


KATHMANDU: In order to reposition Nepal’s image in the international tourism market, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has started parleys with tourism associations and experts to adopt a strategy that penetrates the market more subtly. NTB held discussions on promoting Nepal as a Meeting, Incentive, Conference and Exhibition (MICE) destination with representatives of five- and four-star hotels. NTB officiating CEO Subash Nirola said new strategies will be instrumental in increasing tourist numbers. “As we were solely dependent on individual overseas tour operators to promote Nepal, we will now all be to work together in a concerted, focused and centralised effort to penetrate new segment of a market that has great potential.”
