CG Electronics has been appointed as the sole authorised distributor of Kent water purifying systems in Nepal. Following the appointment, CG Electronics has launched four models of Kent’s gravity-based water purifying systems. These four ultra-filtration (UF) membrane filters are Kent Gold Optima, Gold Plus, Gold Cool and Crystal. Indian-made Kent water purifiers are one of the most reliable products available in the market today, according to Lalit Mishra, sales manager of CG Electronics. “Kent is a world class water purifier. It has won numerous awards along with Water Quality Association (WQA), which is considered to be one of the most prestigious awards across the globe,” said Mishra. The Kent purifier removes 99.99 percent of bacteria and viruses and reduces cysts present in the water without using bleach, chlorine or other chemicals. The UF membrane technology used in Kent products has been developed by the company and works under the power of gravity and at atmospheric pressure. The UF membrane has pores of 0.1 microns which is small enough to filter bacteria and harmful micro organisms like cysts. The UF membrane is used in combination with fine nylon filter which removes dust and sand as well as nano silver-coated carbon filters which absorbs many organic impurities and dissolved gases in water making the water odourfree and enhancing the taste. The company said that a UF membrane can filter 4,000 l of water. CG Electronics has said that the nano silver coating is antimicrobial by nature and thus it ensures that the carbon dœs not become a breeding ground for micro organisms. As a result, the water purified using Kent is purer than boiled water and safer than water purified by chemical disinfectants. Kent Gold Plus is a tank in a tank tabletop purifier which can hold 20 l of water, 10 l of raw water and 10 l of purified water. According to the company, the purifier which is made of foodgrade and non-breakable plastic, is suitable for water which has low total dissolved solids (TDS). The company has priced the purifier at Rs 4,790. Kent Gold Optima, another table-top system, has a capacity of 10 l. The company stated that the device has been targeted at small families. It has been priced at Rs 3,390. Similarly, Kent Gold Cool can hold up to 17 l of water. This purifier with thermally insulated construction design keeps the water chilled for more than 8 hours and is ideal for shops and home use. The company stated that the purifier can hold 9 l of purified water and 8 l of raw water. CG has priced it at Rs 6,690. The Kent Crystal can hold 20 l of water, 7 l of raw water and 13 l of purified water. This system can be placed in a hot/cold water dispenser making it the perfect replacement for 20-l water jars. The company has priced the purifier at Rs 5,390. CG Electronics has stated that the new product is available from all exclusive CG outlets and retail chains across the globe. The company has sold around 350 units of purifiers so far.
