AGNI Incorporated, the sole authorised distributor of Mahindra SUVs and MUVs in Nepal, rolled out the allnew Mahindra Bolero Maxi Truck Plus on Thursday. The company said that the new product from Mahindra is a perfectly styled city pick-up and has numerous advantageous features compared to its competitors. The Bolero Maxi Truck Plus has been developed on Mahindra’s rugged Bolero pick-up platform and is conceptualized to cater to the needs of urban goods transportation, the company said. Speaking at the launching ceremony, Bardan Bashnet, general manager of Agni Incorporated, said that the vehicle is equipped with new technology and is appropriate for the Nepal market. “The machine has been equipped with power steering, which is the first instance in a vehicle of this kind,” Bashnet said. “Likewise, users need to service the vehicle only every 10,000 km, which significantly reduces the operational cost.” Likewise, Agni’s managing director Cabinet Shrestha said, “The new Mahindra vehicle is aimed to cater to the transportation needs of discerning urban city customers and will also meet the growing needs of current customers who want to upgrade and earn more. We are sure that the new vehicle will strengthen our pick-up portfolio and help consolidate our market share in the segment.” The Mahindra Bolero Maxi Truck Plus is powered by a 2523 cc commonrail engine, which the company claims delivers a mileage of 17.7 kpl, which is excellent for a vehicle of its kind. Its engine can deliver a maximum power output of 63 bhp and a torque of 195 nm. Likewise, it has a smaller turning radius of 5.5 m. The company stated that to cater to the challenges of transportation in urban areas, the Maxi Truck Plus has been designed to manœuvre easily through heavy traffic, narrow city lanes and numerous flyovers. Agni Incorporated has priced the vehicle at Rs 1.48 million.
