Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) gained Rs 624 million net profit in fiscal year 2008-09. It is 38 per cent more than last year, the bank's statement read. EBL had net profit of Rs 451.2 million the preceding year. The bank got operating profit of Rs 1.06 billion in the period. The NPA of the bank has reduced from 0.68 per cent to 0.48 per cent, according to the statement by the bank.
