Women's teams from Kharanitar VDC have invested around Rs 10 million in various quarters.
The women's groups associated with Khairenitar Women's Multipurpose Cooperatives Organization have invested the money collected in their groups in various fields -- agricultural, animal farming, trade, education and foreign employment. The cooperative was established in 2002 with a capital of Rs 80,000 by opening shares among 30 members. Now the association has 1,100 shareholders with savings of around Rs 6,700,000 and investment in the above mentioned various businesses, said chairperson Sita Kumari Upadhyaya.
