This new product is a revolution in the banking history of Nepal and a breakthrough in terms of banking technology, said the bank. It will help even illiterate people operate their account through thumb impression. Thus, the account operation is safe and secure.
The branchless banking service of EBL helps people in remote villages open bank account, withdraw and deposit money and receive remittance from abroad. Transactions are made through special machines available to Business Correspondents appointed at different locations.
