Employee unions of state-owned banks have expressed their solidarity with the strike of Nepal Bank Ltd (NBL) on Friday. NBL employees have been on strike since June 5 after the management called for compulsory retirement plan. The workers said that on June 4, the management reduced the service period from 33 years to 30 years without the seeking either the opinion or consensus of the employee union before calling for retirement plan.
