Two international airlines are to begin flights to and from Kathmandu within a month.
While China Eastern Airlines will launch its Kunming-Kathmandu flights four times a week from September 8, Arc Fly, the state-owned Dutch airlines, will launch Kathmandu services in October, the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation said.
The China Eastern will be the third Chinese airlines to fly to Kathmandu. It will be using Boeing 737-700 aircraft on the route. The government gave the airlines the permission last month as per the Air Service Agreement signed between Nepal and China in 2003.
