Speaking at an interaction programme organised by CCF, FNCCI vice-president and CCF vice-chairman Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar outlined the various objectives of the association for its development. He said the association would organise a Commodity Association Expo and conduct project implementation workshops. It plans to conduct different skill development programmes so as to train human resources.
"Commodity association has made great achievements in IT, media, export, services, tourism, trading, forestry, manufacturing and agri-sector," said Rajkarnikar. He added that there must be communication between the different members of the association so as to bring effectiveness in the programmes and plans of the association. CCF is working on flow of information among traders, the commodity association and the council and trying to interact with different industrialists regarding export promotion, VAT, revenue, banking and other issues of the association, said Rajkarnikar.
During the programme, Rajkarnikar also called for the construction of a separate Commodity Secretariat Building.
He said, "There is no separate building for CCFl, It is quite difficult to conduct daily activities at the FNCCI office. Hence, we have proposed a separate building of the association."
There are 73 commodity associations registered with FNCCI.
