Shanti Bhumi Saving and Credit Cooperative Ltd started its service from Saturday at Makhan of Kathmandu. The cooperative has a paid-up capital of Rs 2 million and offers savings and fixed deposit schemes. It has three savings schemes -- daily savings account, general savings account and Shanti Bhumi special savings account. It offers up to 15 per cent interest on fixed deposit for five years. Dhrubaraj Thapa and Shyam Ranjitkar are the advisors of the cooperative.
