The third Carpet Mega Sale is generating huge public response.
Organised by Direction Nepal is expecting around 10,000 visitors by the end of this week. The sale that started on Friday has nine Nepali carpet industries participating and showcasing their carpets in eleven stalls.
Those participating are the top carpet manufacturers in Nepal, said event organiser Ramesh Thapa of Direction Nepal.
"We are looking to promote carpets that are made in Nepal by providing the manufacturers a platform to showcase their products and inform the Nepali people that carpets made in Nepal are of good quality and that they should buy these,"
added Thapa.
The expo has provided direct interaction between the buyer and seller as well as the manufacturer and assures of quality and value for money.
"We have had good sales in this expo and have done business worth Rs 250,000 over the past two days," said Gopal Risel, Paranjali Carpets.
According to Thapa, the response at these sort of sales and Expos has been very positive and profitable.
"People are opening up to the idea of such events as they provides good solutions for everyday consumer needs under one roof. Besides, coming in direct contact with the executers gives them a fairly reasonable idea about what to buy and where. Pricing also is a positive factor," he said.
