Rupee plunges to 98.05 per dollar


KATHMANDU: The Nepali rupee has dipped to its lowest against the US dollar. The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the reference exchange rate at Rs 98.05 per dollar for Monday. The depreciation of the Nepali rupee is due to the downfall of the Indian currency, with which the domestic currency is pegged. The Nepali rupee was traded at Rs 97.73 per dollar on Thursday.
