Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) has upgraded its computerisation to 'Finacle' developed by Infosys, a reputed and global brand. "With the Finacle system, the entire core banking including internet banking is now available at EBL for its customers," said the bank. All its existing 29 branches - plus the six mre branches to be opened in the next two months - will now operate like one bank with online communication and transfer of data among the branches and the head office. The bank also has 'Disaster Recovery Site' (DRS) so that if any central data system gets damaged, duplicate records can be automatically available. EBL has entered into an accord with CAS Trading Pvt Ltd, Nepal, and Appnomic System Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, for the the DRS.
