1,000 units of Volkswagen sold in Nepal


Pooja International Nepal, the authorized importer of Volkswagen, on Friday celebrated the sale of 1,000th Volkswagen in Nepal. Henning Hansen, chargé d´affaires at the German Embassy in Kathmandu handed over the car key to 1,000th owner of Volkswagen, Jimmy Shrestha -- director of Hatale Udhyog , Sitapaila. "Volkswagen has always been known for outstanding driving pleasure, safety and comfort. Also the elegant design and styling sets it apart from others. I am proud and delighted to own the 1,000th Volkswagen," Shrestha, said according to a statement issued by the company. Bibek Bijukchhe, CEO of Pooja International Nepal said it´s a great achievement that VW has been able to compete in mass segment while being known for their superior built quality. "It´s the brand, man, machine and network which helped us to be in the hearts of Nepali customers in just around three years,” Bijukchhe said in the statement. The company targets to deliver 800 Volkswagen in 2013/14. "Volkswagen is coming up with fresh 2013 models of cars and also planning to launch a new variant of Polo," said the statement.
