BoK’s new loan scheme


Bank of Kathmandu has introduced a new loan scheme named ‘Mahila Udhyamshil Karja’, customised for the bank’s women customers having “Grihalaxmi” savings account, “Gramin Mahila” savings account and “My Choice” women savings account. In a statement, the bank said the service has been introduced in order to provide loans for those who are keen on starting their own business ventures. The loan process is simplified whereby the loan amount is payable within three years of issuance and the loan limit has been set at Rs 300,000. The bank also provides the facility of insuring all customers of “Mahila Udhyamshil Karja” on the basis of the loan amount. The insurance covers risks of accidental death and permanent disability.
