CG LAUNCHES 84-INCH ULTRA HD TV FROM LG

CG Electronics, a subsidiary of Chaudhary Group and authorised distributor of LG electronics in Nepal, has launched Ultra HD TV from the South Korean tech giant. The television comes with a number of “smart” features that provide greater convenience and simpler interaction. The new television set features an 84-inch gigantic screen, 2.2 speaker systems, high resolution picture quality and 3D experience, among others. CG said the device offers high resolution picture quality and enthralling sound effect. Launching the television, CG Managing Director Nirvana Chaudhary said the TV has been launched as part of the company’s efforts to introduce innovative products in the domestic market. CG has been selling LG products in Nepal for the last 25 years. CG’s General Manager Ramesh Shrestha said the LG Ultra HD TV offers more functionality compared to normal Full HD televisions. “The new television features three breathtaking viewing experiences — gigantic screen, 2.2 speakers and 8MP resolution,” he said. The resolution offered by the new LG television if four times higher compared to other HD television, the company said. The additional “Resolution Upscaler Plus” equipped in the device helps display images from external sources like hard drives and other user-generated content websites. “The added feature also helps enhance resolution automatically for better picture quality,” said Shrestha. The 2.2 speaker system includes two 10 watt speakers and two 15 watt woofers. The system helps produce the 3D rich sound effect in compliance to the 3D picture quality. The device also comes with “3D Depth Control” technology that allows viewers to fine-tune the distance between the nearer and far objects on the screen for a custom 3D experience, according to the company. “Similarly, the “3D Sound Zooming” system automatically analyses the on-screen objects to generate sound according to their location and movement,” Shrestha said. The new television allows using 1,400 applications and supports premium content services such as “3D World” with a wide array of movies and games. The “Dual Play” function splits the screen and allows two people play games at once. The “IPS” superior picture quality displays life-like colour, stable screen, blur-free picture clarity and wide viewing angle that prevents changing contract while viewed from different angles. It also allows viewers convert 2D pictures into 3D mode. The “Magic Motion” remote control is another added feature that facilitates four modes of functioning — pointing, gesture, wheel and voice. “Using the remote control, users can change the picture mode by waving their hands. The wheel in the remote simplifies using internet, while its voice function helps direct the television functioning by speaking,” said Shrestha. CG has priced the LG Ultra HD TV at Rs 2.2 million.
