KATHMANDU: Depositors of Baisdhara Multipurpose Cooperative based in Manmaiju VDC, Kathmandu have accused it of embezzling more than Rs 15 million in deposits. In a complaint filed recently at the District Administration Office and the Division Cooperative Office, 100 of its depositors accused Baisdhara chairman Damodar Khatri of cheating them out of the money by closing the cooperative’s office for the last two months. Division Office Chief Niraula said they had forwarded the case to Police and asked the Land Revenue Office to freeze Khatri’s property.
