Laxmi Bank Ltd has introduced Green Savings, an eco-conscious savings account in Nepal from Monday. Under the scheme, people can deposit money at 7.5 per cent interest on daily balances. The account also supports the green cause. According to the bank, there is a growing awareness for the need to act quickly on various environmental issues and it is keen to work together with its customers and make whatever contribution it can towards this cause.
